Two intense 18-hole, par 72 courses are available for play at Forest Akers Golf Courses, as well as a short game practice area and a driving range. The Golf Center provides classes to the general public, including a free one-hour Discover Golf clinic for adult beginners and a custom club fitting program to help experienced players figure out what clubs will help their game. In 2006, ZAGAT named Forest Akers as one of the top 10 Best Value Courses, and both the East and West courses have received high rankings for quality of play from Golf Digest and other nationally recognized groups. Run by Michigan State University, the clubhouse is less than half a mile south of campus.
